Biochar is a charcoal like soil amendment that is very porous and is a "reef" in the soil for beneficial bacteria and fungi.
Bio-Char is a must have with living organic soil as it raises the cation exchange capacity of the soil meaning it can hold more nutrients.
This Biochar is absolutely amazing. It is not sandy, and is perfect for us in any horticultural application.
